Fanlisting?

According to The Fanlistings Network, a fanlisting is "a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor, actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject.". So, it's just exactly what it says: a list of fans. Maybe you think it isn't a specially useful thing... But isn't something good showing to the world your devotion and love for a determinate character, actor, book or whatever? So, this is what you do when you join a fanlisting ^^ And, of course, you can always have the chance to meet other people who like the same you do... and that's always great, isn't it?

If you're here not only 'cause you were curious about the site - I mean, if you like both characters and you're a fan of their relationship, please join ^_^ The more members, the better... and feel free to ask anything you want to know!

Blocken and Jade

Thirty years ago, after the choujins had defeated at last all the evil forces that were a danger for the Earth, peace arrived finally to our planet. All the choujins, Blocken Junior between them, came back to their birth places and began a new life. All of them but Blocken, who couldn't find anything to do because without fighting his life was useless and empty... so, the once great hero became a wino and a total mess who lived every day only because he had to, not being able to find new goals and illusions.

One day, Blocken Junior returned to his mother's house in Germany and found there a little boy. This little boy wasn't other than Jade, who said he knew Blocken had once been a great choujin and that he wanted to be his apprentice, because he wanted to get stronger. Then he added he knew he had the powers to become a super hero and showed them to Blocken who, totally shocked, asked the boy his name. Blocken decided to devote the rest of his life to training and educating Jade, wanting him to become the greatest super hero ever.

(for the following part of the story, WARNING: SPOILERS! If you don't know what happens in episode 28th of the anime, don't read below this point ^^U)

I've only watched till the 26th episode, so I basically know what happens later thanks to the AKIA episode summaries - thanks a lot for the great job guys :D! However, I must say I was almost sure about the true relationship between Blocken and Jade since the beginning ^^

In episode 28, there's a match between Jade and Scarface, part of the tournament that is facing the Ex Generation (Jade, Scarface, Dead Signal and Crione man) and the first New Generations choujin who're in Japan (Mantaro, Terry the Kid, Seiuchin & Gazelleman). During the hard match, Scarface tells Jade that Blocken was the one who burnt his house and killed his uncle and aunt. And Jade, who's a little nervous because Scarface doesn't stop taunting him and because he sees he's having difficulties to win, lose his control completely, even attacking Blocken and yelling to him. But everything changes when a woman between the crowd (who knew Jade when he was a kid) tells Jade the truth: that Blocken is, in fact, his father, who had left him with his uncle and aunt when he was a baby so they could take care of him.

Their relationship

I'm so frustrated because I can't watch the 28th episode - why there's no special DVD pack with the episodes from 27 to 51? T___T Ehm, sorry, I got off topic *cough* ^_~

I like a lot both characters and the relationship coach/apprentice between them, because it's not only that - it has something special who only Blocken knows, that is they're father/son as well. I think it's a little obvious that they're family, don't you think? They look very similar, and in fact I thought it was quite weird that Blocken devoted his life this much for a little boy who he hardly knew... I thought from the beginning that there was something more. And I was right ^_^ The fanlisting is called Reunited because of that... it's not that they meet for the first time when Jade goes to visit Blocken, they meet again after a lot of years being apart.

So this is why I've wanted to do this fanlisting, to make a little tribute to Jade and Blocken and to meet other fans as well (I hope somebody will join ^^U) Oh, one last thing... I don't like specially the idea of the Blcken/Jade yaoi (I mean, a romantic relationship between them) - though I know there's something in the internet about it, I've found it ^^U... but it doesn't mean that, if you like Blocken and Jade as a couple, you aren't welcomed here. This is a place for the Blocken & Jade fans, whatever aspect of their relationship they prefer - so, this is your site ^.^
