According to TFL, a fanlisting is "a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor, actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject.". So, it's just exactly what it says: a list of fans. Maybe you think it isn't a specially useful thing... But isn't something good showing to the world your devotion and love for a determinate character, actor, book or whatever? So, this is what you do when you join a fanlisting ^^ And, of course, you can always have the chance to meet other people who like the same you do... and that's always a great thing ^^
If you're interested in knowing still more about the fanlistings, check any of both fanlisting networks for more information: The Fanlistings Network / The Anime Fanlistings Network
Kinnikuman Nisei is, for me, a little like a dream come true: after watching the original Kinnikuman series, I still wanted more, I didn't want the anime to end and I was so sad when it did (I've been a huge Kinnikuman fan for several years now, as you may have know already if you've been here before ^_~). Some years later, and when it seemed the Kinnikuman story was forever dead... I read in some magazine that a sequel to the original series was being published in Japan. I was really, really happy (and surprised!) to know that, even when I knew I'd probably never read the manga translated into any langauage I could understand, or watch the dubbed anime either. I thought it was amazing news for me... I saw a little ray of hope there ^.^
In the end, I've been quite lucky: I've managed to get the 3 Japanese DVDs (with English subtitles) with the first season of Kinnikuman Nisei, that is episodes 1-26, and I've been reading the AKIA summaries as well, because for the time being the anime hasn't been licensed in my country yet *big sigh*, and I want to know anything, *everything* about the story, the characters, the tournaments... well, I guess it was predictable that I would end loving Kinnikuman Nisei too ^^; Of course I must say the first anime is still so, so special to me, but I'm enjoying the sequel as well <3 Some people say Kinnikuman Nisei is by far worst than the original series, and I don't agree with them; I mean, of course they're different, but you can't expect them to be the same when the first series was born more than twenty years ago! Anyway, I still can find in the story the same elements I enjoyed in the Kinnikuman first anime, and that's all I need: humor, action and new choujins - the sons of my childhood heroes, fighting in the name of justice like their fathers once did ^_~
I'd like to have a list of Kinnikuman Second Generations fans as big as possible, joining fans from everywhere in one same place... so If you're also a fan of this great manganime, please join as well!
When I adopted the fanlisting I decided to keep the layout Toshi had made, and now I've changed it: so this is the first layout I've made for this site on my own. And I must say I really really like it, even when it's quite simple ^^
The fonts used are Verdana for the text and Berlin Sans for the fanlisting title & menu. I've made everything using, as always, Photoshop and Dreamweaver. The image on the layout it's the cover of the DVD pack of the first Kinnikuman Nisei season, scanned by myself. It is a very good pic, I almost haven't edited it (just cut off part of it) and it includes most of the main characters: Kevin, Jade, Gazelleman, Seiuchin, Terry the Kid (well, you can see him *a little* on the bottom left) and of course, Mantaro.
